Learn about shark jaws and teeth and touch an ancient Megalodon Shark tooth that’s millions of years old!

Meet the NEW Zebra Sharks! They stand out in the Surrounded by Sharks exhibit with their golden color and black spots. Zebra Sharks are actually born with stripes and lose them in favor of spots as they mature.

NEW! Meet Shan the Shark Ray

Shan is one of the first Shark Rays born under human care! Born in Taiwan in 2022, she’s named after one of her caretakers. Currently a juvenile, Shan will eventually join the Shark Ray Breeding Program. Meet her in Shark Ray Bay Theater!

Sharks, Rays and Skates all belong to the family “elasmobranchs.” That means, they all have five to seven gill slits and skeletons made of cartilage, not bone. It’s a big family too – including over 400 known shark species and more than 600 species of rays & skates!
